McCune Osage Township Museum
Don’t rely on rumors, get the facts at the McCune History Department and Museum! McCune is and always has been a farm town serving the community for many miles around. We now have gone the way of many small rural towns in Kansas and our country. We are trying to hold onto our past the the best way we know how and that is through our museum. Many exhibits are available dating back to the beginning of the McCune community in 1879. Special exhibits include the Roy Rogers room and the old county school room. McCune is the hometown of Olympic basketball start Dean Kelley (1952) and Allen Kelley (1960) and we have their pictures and information available. When the school closed in 2013, all the graduation pictures and trophies were moved to the museum for display. The McCune History Department also offers considerable historical research avenues.
